I am one of the contributors and my prize is very special. I recently got a tiny sample size of a glow in the dark pigment and immediately knew I had to make a special edition lacquer that was inspired by (but not part of) the Lord of the Rings collections. There was only enough pigment for 6 bottles--3 full size, 3 shorties. I'll tell you more about those bottles but first, would you like to see the polish?

This glow-in-the-dark topcoat has some pretty intense glow, too. That third picture up there? Yeah, that's about a 1 second shutter speed (which allows more of the light to be captured by my camera) with my bedroom lights still on! I mention the shutter speed because while the longer speed means the blue glow (and the surrounding bedroom lighting) shows up more in the photos than with a very quick snapshot...there obviously is still enough glow even with the lights on to be captured! It's not as intense as in the dark but if it's freshly charged it looks pretty darn neat.
I love this color, it turned a normal creme (China Glaze Holly-Day) into a lovely shimmer with a hidden glow! The glow lasted for over half an hour, too. At that point I'd been sitting in the dark for long enough that I stopped timing and went to bed but I'd say half an hour is an impressive length of glow time, yes?
